Patent No. Europe 1 165 710 A Valspar Corporation has been granted a patent for internal can coatings with improved solvent and/or corrosion resistance, especially resistant to headspace corrosion. It is obtained from quick-curing compositions containing a reaction product of carboxyl functional polymer and/or hydroxy functional polymer, or ethylencially unsaturated monomer with epoxy resin and polyvinyl alcohol containing phenolic resol resin and pigment.
